Oak Feature Trusses

Some buildings and houses can be considered as being quite dull, boring and un-characterful. However, if you think about getting rid of the uninspiring low ceilings, and fitting a beautifully designed feature truss, or even starting a new project with an exposed trussed roof, you could have something amazing.

At Aber Roof Truss, we can help with any renovation projects where the current ceiling design is quite low, and allowing limited light to enter the building. If we replace these ceilings with an Oak roof truss design, we’ll not only allow more light in, but create a lot more space. The roof trusses can be fitted in two ways, either as part of a new roof structure, or they can be fitted to an existing roof for extra support and an aesthetic function.

On top of the impressive amount of space and light added to the building, roof trusses can add an amazing feature to what could have been an uninteresting structure. Additionally, because of all the benefits, you will have added more value to your property.

Some people think that Oak feature trusses only suit structures such as converted barns, and traditional builds – this is not true! Oak feature trusses look great in contemporary buildings. The juxtaposition of a more traditional oak feature with modern building materials can be incredible.

How would I go about getting a feature truss?

Aber Roof Truss can help complete your project for your dream home. If you have already decided on the idea, and have an architect’s drawings depicting it with calculations, we can provide you with a quote. This covers the manufacturing and supply which can work alongside your designs.

On the other hand you might have drawings or ideas you have created yourself, and need extra guidance figuring out your next step. Our experienced team will be happy to help you with their knowledge.

At Aber Roof Truss we can give you the complete solution for your feature design. We can manufacture and supply purlins, posts, and suggest stainless steel hangers and plates if needed.

We are passionate about providing only the highest quality throughout the project, from the design, to the build and the delivery.

What types of roof trusses are there?

King Post Truss or Queen Post Truss
This is the most popular design, which creates an open space with lots of light.

Raised Tie Truss or Raised Collar Truss
This design is used when there is not much headroom to play with, or the truss needs to go across a very large room. The collar of the truss is raised higher. These are commonly installed in loft conversions.

Flat Top Trusses
These are usually used when there is limited headroom.

A feature roof truss is a great way to upgrade your property from average to luxury! They add a wow factor that is unique. If you would like any more information do not hesitate to contact us
