Eco-Joists

We are proud to announce we can now manufacture Eco-Joists and offer competitive quotes for any sized project.

The Eco-Joist is a fantastic product offering a superior alternative to traditional solid Joists, which many builders are now taking advantage of.

The Eco-Joist comprises of top and bottom timber flanges, joined with galvanised ‘V’ shape steel webbing. They can either span between block work or be built into the wall construction.

Here’s a few points why we our so enthusiastic about this product:

• The open webs provide plenty of scope for servicing, including water pipes, electrical wiring, even sewer pipes can easily run straight through the Joists. No more timely, untidy drilling, which would weaken traditional joists.

• Subsequently wiring and plumbing is easier and far quicker, there’s no comparison. Several trades can work simultaneously, a great advantage for builders/clients on the go.

• They are light and robust to handle on site, and consequently very quick to install.

• The Eco-Joists are manufactured to size after site dimensions are clarified, meaning no costly wastage.

• Our favourite attribute is their strength; deflections are significantly reduced compared with traditional Joists. For builders that means a major reduction in call-backs concerning squeaking floors, cracked tiles and cracks in plaster board, all caused by traditional solid joists drying and shrinking.
